Happy Father's Day

Father’s day is a day to cherish your fathers and thank them for everything they have done.  There is no doubt in my mind the role of a father in any family is important.  In most cases the fathers roles is given to the traditional male of the household but with more and more places allowing gay marriage you can also find both the mothers and fathers roles going to the opposite sex.  No matter how your family works to have a happy and health family both a mothers and fathers role is very important.

Very Soon, will be a better KW Blog.  I am currently looking for more things to add, new things to improve and other to grab your attention in new ways on my site.  I hope to reach new highs with this blog spot so I will be working on most aspects of this site over the next few weeks.  The site may commonly change and improve over the next few weeks.  I hope you will be patience with me as I improve my site, as I hope you will enjoy it much more when it is finished.

Minor Setbacks

I enjoy blogging.  Blogging was the best thing I was shown in the public relations program at Loyalist College.  Although blogging takes time and a computer with an internet connection to be able to accomplish anything, without one of them blogging can become a lot harder.  Recently you have notice a lack of active on my site, which is due to a few minor setbacks.

List of NHL Stanley Cup Champions

The NHL is a beloved pastime of mine.  Raised in a family of devoted & passionate Toronto Maple leaf fans, I have been watching hockey since I was in diapers.  I believe the passion of hockey is in most Canadians as it should be our national sport.  Below is a full list of Stanley Cup Champs.
Quick congratulations to the 2010-2011 Stanley Cup Champions the Boston Bruins.  After a long series Boston beat Vancouver in game seven, the score was 4-0.  The series was good but I was disappointed in Vancouver.  They should announce the next NHL schedule later this month.  The NHL should be good next year becuase of other sports being locked out.

NHL 2011 Playoff: Conference Final Predictions

The NHL Playoff started with 16 teams.  The 2011 Playoffs are currently in the conference finals, which is now down to four teams.  The Stanley Cup Playoffs conference finals start tonight; you can follow the scores at the bottom of my site.
The First round I had Predicted 7 out of the 8 series correctly & in the second round predicted only two out of the three series correctly. This round I hope to predict them all correctly.  Tampa Bay was the only team to surprising me last round beating Washington.  If you are interested my last post was “NHL 2011: West & East Semi-Final Recap”.
This is where the NHL playoffs get really good to watch because it’s now down to the four best teams.  I will still be giving you my prediction for the final round of the playoffs.  These next two rounds of the NHL Playoffs will be nearly impossible to predict because in the playoffs everyone dose better than normal.  Here is my prediction for the NHL Playoff Prediction for both the eastern and western finals.
I knew one team would step up and surprise me.  Tampa Bay did good eliminating Washington.  I picked Washington because I thought Washington could beat them but they are commonly eliminated at about this time and Tampa Bay is one of the best team when playing under pressure but they eliminated Washington in FOUR.
San Jose another team commonly eliminated at this time, also shocked me.  Although I said I was unsure and favouring Detroit, I knew San Jose may pull that series off.   This could possibly be San Jose’s year for the cup.

Assisting Prince Charles Public School

Providing assistance where assistance is needed is the mission.  We all know there are a lot of places that could use help.  To end my Loyalist PR course at Loyalist College,  I choose at the last minute to assist Prince Charles Public School here in Belleville Ontario.  The main task for my internship was fundraising and assisting Prince Charles Public School in fundraising and assisting with coordinating their fun fair. Last post was titled: Prince Charles Fun Fair.
Prince Charles Public School, located on Richie Street currently goes up to grade five.  Currently, grades six, seven, and eight attend Sir Mackenzie Bowell School, also known as SMB.   I choose this school because it also is in my community.  As I stated in my last post next year, SMB will be closing.  Currently under construction to expand to take in more students along with three more grades are Sir John A. Macdonald School and Prince Charles Public School.  I felt this year’s fundraising is important because Prince Charles still needs new play equipment for the following year.  Construction of the new school is located where the equipment was, the new equipment will be relocated.  Prince Charles is looking forward to their new play equipment.
The fun fair is not the only task I am assisting with for my internship.  As I said it was important to me to do much more this year then they had done in the past.  I want to set records and leave them with a “BANG”.

A Better Way to Manage your Twitter Account

Twitter is one of the fastest growing social media sites available online.   Although, twitter can be hard to explain, I would say it is kind of like combining Google and Facebook.  You can find almost anything on twitter and follow them in real-time updates as things happen.  News, games, info, sports everything can be found and searched for on Twitter.  Below I will tell you the best way to Manage your twitter account also tips on how to create a CSV file for Hoot Suite.
Once you build a creditable Twitter account and start following 1000’s of people you may find it will start to get overwhelming.  If you are looking for a better way to manage your twitter account, there are a handful of sites that can be used to better manage your Twitter account.  I found HootSuite the best way to manage my twitter account.
HootSuite is a complex site that can do a lot for you.  The site allows you to put more than one twitter screen on a single screen and allows you to sort your following so you can follow them more effectively, with unlimited possibilities.

The site helps you track keywords, and other searches on twitter.  the site also allows you to add any RSS feed from any website so it will automatically tweets new updates from you website onto your twitter.  Scheduling tweets for the future, both singly and in bulk.  HootSuite can also analysis your twitter account and followers and provide you with almost any information you would like about them, this could be one of the most useful features of the site for you to idolize.

Six Months of Blogging

This is just a quick blog post to celebrate my six months of blogging.  The experience of blogging has been fun and interesting.  I have learned a lot in my research and it has also connected me to many other companies, organizations and other such things.  In the last six month, you could say I have developed a hobby for blogging.
April has by far been my best month for blogging page views, although it has not been my best month for getting in posts.  I have done a lot of work on the layout and branding myself online, using my branding tips.  Kraft Hockeyville was also amazing at the beginning of the month and last month.
This is currently my sixth post this month, with it being my 116th post in the last six months.  The 15thof April, 2011 was the real anniversary of my blogging.  Here is my week late celebration post.

NFL Lockout 2011 News

What is going to happen to the NFL next season?
Now that the NFL and the NFLPA did not come to an agreement, this fight has become messy.  After a short time limit the NFL players union decertified.  This led to some players filing an anti-trust lawsuit against the NFL.
May 12th, court with resign in front of Judge Doty and should be an interesting day for NFL fans.  The 2011 NFL season could be court ordered to continue with the season.  The other opinion would be to renegotiate the terms between the two sides, which the football season would than continue during the negotiations.  If that happens the players would mostly likely strike.

Tips on How to Brand Yourself

Branding is important in life not only just for companies.  Everything you wear and do reflexes on your image/brand.  That image/brand can affect every type of relationship you ever have with anyone you have a relationship with-in your life.
You can read more about personal branding and its affects in my post titled “Personal Branding: All or Nothing”.
Over the past couple weeks I have been working on branding myself.  It has taken longer than needed but I had started to enjoy designing my self-image/brand and had gotten carried away.
I had a self-branding assignment as my last assignment in the digital design program with-in the Loyalist PR program at Loyalist College. Once I had designed my first self-branding design I had taken it to a few trusted friends around the school and past instructors from the business program at Loyalist College.   During the past couple week I have learned there is no perfect branding.
You will never amaze everyone.
Everyone has their own sense of design.  Most important you can’t express everything in one design.  When thinking about branding yourself or a company; here are some key tips:
1.       Be Creative, don’t use a template.
2.       Remember that it represents you; your design should also represent you.
3.       Less is more; don’t over crowd your design.
4.       Color: don’t use too many color; once again less is more, try to pick 2 or 3 colors that represent you.
5.       Like your own design.
6.       Use it and distribute it.
Creativity is key when designing your image/brand.
In my opinion,
