NHL 2011 Eastern Conference Prediction

Eight teams from both the eastern and western NHL conferences have entered in the 2011 NHL Playoffs, competing for the Stanley Cup.  The Stanley Cup Playoffs start tonight; you can follow the scores at the bottom of my site.  To predict who will win the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoff would be hard; it is going to be good playoff year.

You can find the 2011 NHL Playoff predictions and  2011 NHL Stanley Cup predictions here.
I will be giving you my prediction for each round of the playoffs.  Here is my prediction for the NHL Eastern Conference.  Next Post is the NHL Western Conference Round 1 Predictions.
Eastern Conference Round 1 Prediction
Washington (1) vs. New York (8)
Washington will win in six games.  In my opinion, this series will be good, I think it will be a home team series and may go to seven games.  New York has had a better than normal season but Ovechkin will step up his game in the playoff as he always does, which will be the difference in this series.
Winning Reason: Ovechkin, Backstrom
Philadelphia (2) vs. Buffalo (7)
Philadelphia will win in six games.  In my opinion, Philly has this series, could possibly be a five game series.  Buffalo good team, seven players injured.  Philly has lost Pronger but with Buffalo down those seven players it will be a hard fight for them this series.
Winning Reason: Buffalo Injuries, Strong Philly Team
Boston (3) vs. Montreal (6)
Boston will win in five games.  This series could maybe the best series of the first round this year.  Expect a lot of action and a rough series.  The series could go to six maybe even seven games but I don’t think Montreal will take the series.
Winning Reason: History between the teams.
Pittsburgh (4) vs. Tampa Bay (5)
Tampa Bay will win in six games, maybe seven.  Pittsburgh has been playing good without their star players but Tampa Bay will most defiantly take this series.
Winning Reason: Injuries
There are my 2011 NHL Playoff Predictions
